The rich culture of extra­curricular involvement at MSJ ensures that our students benefit from a holistic education. To complement and enrich their academic learning, every girl is encouraged to develop and

showcase the breadth of their talents through:

  • Musical opportunities: choir, instrumental and vocal tuition, and various instrumental ensembles
  • Dance opportunities including performance and inter-school competition
  • Dramatic opportunities: regular productions and musicals
  • Debating and public speaking
  • Social justice opportunities including the Sister Irene McCormack Society, Crossroads and Night Patrol
  • Leadership opportunities developing student advocacy skills and confidence through the SRC, student-­run school events and inter­school leadership conferences
  • A number of special interest groups ranging from book and culture clubs to environmental action groups
  • Vocational opportunities including work placements in businesses, commercial kitchens, sound and lighting design and entertainment venues.
